Hotel Pariz
Splendour in Prague

Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. It is the main industrial, trade and transport centre of the country.  In recent years, Prague has also become a top tourist destination and has been recognised by UNESCO as a gem of the world's cultural heritage. This lovely city has been home to the likes of Rilke, Kafka and Kundera. Mozart lived here for a number of years and you simply can not walk the streets of Prague without being made aware of the musical heritage.

Whenever I am in Prague, I very much enjoy the baroque architecture, but I am also enthusiastic about beautiful Art Nouveau interiors. That's why the Hotel Pariz is one of my preferred hotels. It was built in 1904 in Neo-Gothic style by well-known architect Jan Vejrych, adding distinctive Art Nouveau elements to all public areas and 86 elegant guest rooms.

Each room is unique and each is furnished individually. You can choose between different room types: Deluxe and Executive Rooms & Suites, Junior Suites & Apartments, the Klimt Suite, Mucha Suite & Tower Suite. Thanks to the Art Nouveau replica furniture and stylish decorations you have the feeling to return to the picturesque Art Nouveau era, no matter in which room you choose to stay.

Both Executive Suites (see photo left) are furnished as a living & bedroom. The Junior Suites are all completely new since April 2003, entirely decorated in Art Nouveau Style. Particularly interesting is the 'Tower Suite' (50 sqm). From my comfortable king size bed I always have a breathtaking view over the Old Town and the Prague Castle. Above the suite, connected with a wooden staircase, you'll have your own terrace providing a unique 360º view, including butler service upon request. You can also book a superior version, the 'Royal Tower Suite', by connecting three rooms: an Executive Room, the 'Mucha Suite' and the 'Tower Suite'. This complex might be closed with bullet-proof glass doors and is separated from the hotel passageway to guarantee ultimate privacy and security.

Eating out opportunities are plentiful. Try the classic Czech dishes such as leg of boar in garlic and juniper berries, Goulash and Schnitzel, accompanied by Czech beers which rank among the finest lagers in the world. Also try the famous 'Café de Paris' or the 'Sarah Bernhardt' gourmet restaurant, both located at the Hotel Pariz. They are excellent and offer French and international cuisine in a prestigious setting.

The Hotel Pariz is keeping its style, beauty and luxury standard for already 100 years now. It truly is a jewel in the heart of the Czech capital.
